Martial Arts (Doctorate Degree)
IVA’s Doctorate Degree in Martial Arts is a research Doctorate Degree, where students write a dissertation and complete courses in security and Krav-Maga adding to both theory and practice (it is optional to complete the Doctorate Degree without the practical courses), with focus on the application of research, to real life security and martial arts problems. Our online Doctorate Degree program is designed to help students reach their objectives of becoming experts in a given security and martial arts field, and becoming competitive employees in the global marketplace. Students take security and Krav-Maga courses alongside their independent research in the area they want to specialize in.
Martial Artists of today need to have a global mindset and have deep knowledge in international security and martial arts. IVA’s Doctorate Degree has a focus on martial arts studies for this exact reason. Through the core courses, students learn about strategy in the martial arts environment, how global martial arts tactics work and how to communicate in an international environment, while allowing students to deepen their knowledge in their research topic in martial arts, thus helping them to become experts in their field.
The structure of the typical dissertation will require students to read materials, study related materials, and perform personal research on selected topics. Confirmation of learning may be determined via papers and projects.
The Doctorate Degree in Martial Arts prepares the student for leadership positions in global organizations, careers as executive protection officers, independent consultants, and skilled researchers in security-oriented activities.
